How are we different?
Sandpoint Direct Primary Care operates as a Direct Primary Care practice. It’s a progressive approach to personalized medical care. So, how is it different?
In a typical practice, Primary Care Physicians have between 2,500-3,500 patients. In our model, Dr. King and Klaucke will each limit their practice to approximately 500 patients. This means that they are there for you when you need them and can spend the time it takes to get things right. It also means that when they are not actively seeing a patient, they are able to coordinate your care and research your clinical questions. Your well-being is Dr. King and Klaucke’s priority, and the reason for why they do what they do.
2. No insurance.
Sandpoint Direct Primary Care does not bill insurance, but we can still help you utilize your benefits. Decisions about your healthcare will be made by you and Dr. King or Klaucke, without the impersonal management that inevitably comes from third-party payers. Instead, patients pay a monthly membership fee which can save money and lead to better treatment.
3. Personalized Care.
Tired of feeling like a cog in the wheel? Dissatisfied with not having your concerns heard? Unhappy that you have to wait months for an appointment, or have to see another doctor than your own when you are sick? Our philosophy is to treat each patient as we would our own family, and give you the opportunity to form a relationship with your physician. You can rely on us to be there when you need us, to carefully listen to all of your worries, and to provide truly compassionate care.
